Silverlight and WPF Charting Control Visifire 3.0 goes GA

We are proud to announce the GA release of Visifire 3.0. Visifire 3.0 is a major upgrade and you are encouraged to upgrade to Visifire 3.0.

Here is a summary of some of the important features of Visifire 3.0:

  1. We have major performance improvements in all charts – up to 10x in some cases.
  2. Smooth animated updates.
  3. Improved looks for Pie, Doughnut, Funnel and Bubble Charts
  4. Now Visifire is capable of handling more data than before. You’ll find major performance improvements while working with large data-sets.

How smoothly can I upgrade?

With respect to API / XAML, there are no breaking changes and Visifire 3.0 is a drop-in replacement to Visifire 2.x. However, we have renamed “Visifire2.js” to “Visifire.js” therefore JavaScript API users will have to reference “Visifire.js” from HTML instead of Visifire2.js

Visifire Link on charts & Visifire Enterprise

With 3.0, we have made the Watermark property obsolete in the Community Edition of Visifire. Based on the Quid Pro Quo principle ("something for something" in Latin), we encourage you to help us spread the word about Visifire.

If you are not comfortable with the Visifire link on your charts and would prefer custom branding, please consider buying Visifire Enterprise Licenses. With Visifire Enterprise licenses, you also get the option to buy Premium support. Premium support can save you countless hours while developing critical projects.

We believe these changes will help us continue investing aggressively in Visifire development. We have big plans for Visifire. Stay tuned!

Thank you for your support. Please let us know your feedback.

I want to know if we have a sample to show visifire silverlight pie and bar chart to implement them in our Prism + MVVM applications. Do they support all the binding so as to avoid the code behind. I would appreciate if you can give us a sample on this. We are actually planning to purchase this but want to do evaluation if they support Prism with MVVM design pattern. Please let me know if you can help me on this. I was trying to implement but not sure where to set the ItemsSource, and Fields for X and Y axes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Visifire Team,

Congratulations on your new release, but I would like to know whether the
export of images are possible? (.NET, Javascript). This is a fundamental feature that is required out of such charting software as most of the users would like to produce/publish reports with the same.

Pardon me for my ignorance if such feature is already available. Please let me know how to get this activated and import the visifire charts to PDF/Excel etc.,

Thanks again for revolutionizing the world of charting.
